CHRISTMAS MESSAGE OF HIS EMINENCE METROPOLITAN STEPHANOS OF TALLINN AND ALL ESTONIA

On these days when we commemorate the coming of our Saviour on earth we can and we must rejoice and jubilate, because Christ, the inexhaustible source of Hope and Life, draws us along to cross with Him the deep abyss that separates the earth and the heaven, despair and joy, death and Life – the abyss that always marks our existence during our earthly pilgrimage.

Let this certitude accompany us all the New Year.

Enable us always to see and receive, even among our daily preoccupations, the Heavenly Infant, who from the cave of Bethlehem confirms our conviction and strengthens our faith in the future that is not one of corruption and non-being, but of fullness of Life.

Let me wish you from all my heart all the best for the new year 2010 and express you my deepest respect in Christ, Our Lord and Saviour.

In Tallinn, Nativity of Our Lord 2009

+ Stephanos,
Metropolitan of Tallinn and All Estonia
